No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Life has just been a little crazy for me lately. So I've decided to make it up to you by posting 3 projects today instead of one!!! All three projects feature my favorite little critter, Brentwood, whom you can find at www. jessicalynnorginal.com
I hope you like them!
The first project is a card that is all about the beach-my favorite place. Brentwood loves the beach too and is enjoying building his sandcastle as you can see here.
The second project is ascrapbook page that I've been wanting to do for a while. It includes pictures of the Salute to America 4th of July Parade that is held every year in Atlanta. The year these pictures were taken, my daughter was in the parade. It was awesome, but VERY HOT!!!
I used 2 patriotic Brentwood images to show both my pride in America and my gratefulness to the troops who fight for our country every day.
Okay, this blog this is still new and somehow I screwed it up!!! Surprise!!!!!!!!
Anyway, here is the 3rd project. It's another scrapbook page that features what I think of as the "Romeo and Juliet" Brentwoods-without the tragic ending of course! It also features my daughter and her now ex-boyfriend!. But I thought the colors all worked well together. I tried to use the Stampin Up! new incolors and it turned out pretty good. I hope you like the projects. More to come!!!

This card satisfies SIX DTGD (Dare to Get Dirty) 2009 challenges! I don't usually do the Dirty Dozen challenges, but for some reason I did this year. I was also off work the week they started. That had to have something to do with it.
#1 - CHALLENGE: Sketch Challenge
#2 - CHALLENGE: Make a masculine card following these: ONE piece of pattern paper, TWO stamps, and THREE colors (white or cream neutral does not count toward the colors)
#3 - CHALLENGE: Create a scene
#4 - CHALLENGE: Paper Tole
#5 - CHALLENGE: Create a project with an animal theme. Think animal images, animal prints and backgrounds, faux fur, jungle, farm, pet-themed projects, etc.
#6 - CHALLENGE: Make a card inspired by music.
I've had this card created by stampwithdiane in my favorites for a while. I usually remove the favorites after I case them & link them to my creation. This one is still in my favorites. I think I need to do something else inspired by stampwithdiane's card.
Music inspiration: Wild thing...you make my heart sing! And I have visions of Charlie Sheen singing this. I have no idea why! I don't even like Charlie Sheen! Now Johnny Depp...that's a fine, fine piece of work. (wiping off drool)
My picture looks better. I made me a makeshift light box by taping together PTI White cardstock.

Ever get the feeling you are doing stuff that won't amount to a hill of beans? I'm in that mood. Got stuff to do...a weekly home blessing and laundry...if I'm going to be working in the studio, maybe I should be scrapping, but here I am making cards!
I have absolutely NO ideas. I don't feel imaginative. I don't feel "happy". I just feel blah. Now, this could be the unseasonable July we have been having this past week. A very unseasonable July. Normally, it's blazing hot! this time of the year. It's been cool with rain SHOWERS...not storms...SHOWERS. Of course, we did have a storm. Could this have something to do with DS turning 15 on Monday the 20th? Then he got his braces off on Tuesday the 21st.
Lots going on here, literally! Check this out!
1. some new, soon to be released (July 24, 2009) JessicaLynnOriginal Brentwood Stamps.
2. paper & accessories from the Stampin Flybabies Summer 2009 Craft Kit
3. the Dare to Get Dirty 2009 Challenge #1.
4. making a double pocket card
5. using non-traditional colors in a Christmas Card (psst...a little secret here...this is a SUMMER paper collection.)
I had fun. Something new all around.
As a DT perk, we received Just Popping In image and coordinating sentiment in digital form. This image is detailed. Not as detailed as the Santa Train...no magnifying glass needed, but detailed nevertheless. When I colored the image, I knew I wanted to use the Little Yellow Bicycle Zinnia collection papers & accessories in the Stampin Flybabies 2009 Summer Craft Kit. Then I saw the Dare to Get Dirty challenges...thought I would play along since I'm on vacation from my public job.
The challenge was tags, and this is probably not much of a tag or two. Then again, I'm not much of a try a new technique person; however, being in my funky mood, I decided to try a double pocket card. I'm very pleased with it; it was super simple and way cool! This would be a great type of card to send with a family photo on one of the tags.

This image, colored with Copic markers, will be available at the release party on July 24. Sketch is from SCS SC237. Card base is PTI White. DP is from a Hot off the Press Christmas Time assortment I found a Michael's five plus years ago.
I've started trying to create a coordinating inside for my cards. A coordinating inside really does give the card a finished look and feel.
Here's the coordinating sentiment for the image on the card front.

I finally got a chance to play along! I have been stalking this challenge forever and just have not caught it in time to play along. So here are my creations for it. I could not decide on just one card so I did two instead.
Supplies: Stamps (Jessica Lynn Originals & Hero Arts);Paper(SU and PTI);Embellishments (Hero Arts); Tools (SU Scalloped Edge Punch)
I used Ruby to make this Dino Mite Birthday Card. Don't you just love those cute pig tails with bones? Ruby is one of 7 fabulous newly released Dino images from Jessica Lynn Originals.
This main image on my second card is not a JLO image but I wanted to show ya another way to use this Ruby stamp set. The leaf stamp (on my orange cardstock) is one of 3 accessory stamps that come Ruby. How cool is that?
Thanks for stopping by today!
